Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan fulfilled his promise made during his Praja Sankalpa Yatra. He revived Chittoor Cooperative Dairy and targeted Chandrababu Naidu for its closure, which was a lifeline for many farmers in and around Chittoor region.
YS Jagan while addressing a huge press meet stated that Chandrababu Naidu to develop his family-owned Dairy closed Chittoor Dairy in 2002. He said that the dairy was processing 2.5 to 3 lakh litres of milk a day since 1993. But was pushed into losses after CBN became Chief Minister just to develop his own dairy farm, which meant Heritage.
Andhra Pradesh government recently exchanged a MoU happened between Amul and AP state government for their investment of Rs 385 Cr in Andhra Pradesh. Amul will invest Rs 150Cr and the YSRCP government will repay the due of Rs 185 Cr related to the dairy farm. The first phase of dairy revival will be held with the stated amount. This is going to provide employment for 5000 locales directly and indirectly provide employment for two lakh people. YS Jagan also reminded that how Allwyn, paper mills and Sugar factories were closed in the Chittoor region at the time of CBN regime. After projecting all the loss by the government companies, CBN government has planned for privatisation, said YS Jagan. CM has also laid a foundation stone for medical college at Chittoor.
