Andhra Pradesh government is planning to introduce International Baccalaureate (IB) syllabus standards to government schools. AP CM YS Jagan has asked the state education department to work on the ways how the International Baccalaureate syllabus will work for government schools. Till now all the government schools were following the state syllabus, they don’t even follow the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) standards or the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) syllabus, which are tougher than the state board syllabus.

Earlier government has decided to make all government schools into English medium, and opposition parties took a strong dig at the decision. Now introducing the IB syllabus to the education system will affect the AP government as IB is completely different from our regular education system, where kids below the fifth standard will never have exams. Kids below the fifth standard will also learn the English subject language only through reading some scripts and by giving their reviews. Above fifth standard will have their education most of it through soft copies. The syllabus mostly stands on research about business, technology, science and economic fields. The typical educational system might affect normal kids. YS Jagan is planning to give international standards for the educational system to Andhra Pradesh Government schools, which need to be implemented after research.
