Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy's controversial decision in Andhra Pradesh has caused a major stir. The state government demolished the existing 'Haritha Resorts' in Rushikonda to construct a new hill resort. While the YSRCP claimed it would be for commercial use like hotels and tourism, the opposition parties accused it of being Jagan's private residence. The state tourism development corporation invested 365 Crores in this project, but public and media access was restricted. Recently, a group of local leaders from the NDA alliance, including Bheemili MLA Ghanta Srinivas Rao, entered the building to uncover its true purpose, as the fate of this contentious structure remains uncertain due to the change in state government.

Although the state tourism development corporation (APTDC) initiated the project with an investment of 365 crore on the Rushikonda Hill after demolishing the renovated tourism resorts in 2021, it was alleged that the building would cost more than 500 Crores due to its lavish features. Ghanta Srinivas Rao commented that this building can be likened to Saddam Hussain's bungalow and Gali Janardhan Reddy's opulent building in Bellary. He stated that Jagan Mohan Reddy's government utilized over 500 Crores for its construction solely for the Chief Minister's personal use. Jagan Mohan Reddy proposed Vizag as the executive capital as part of the three capitals idea. Vizag has undergone significant changes in the past five years due to the court's involvement. He had hoped to take on the role of Chief Minister in Vizag during his second term. However, the people of Andhra Pradesh decisively rejected his policies and proposals by overwhelmingly supporting the NDA alliance in the recent state elections.
