Kristen Stewart is no longer a part of the fairy tale movie "Snow White and the Huntsman 2". The actress has been dropped as the sequel takes a different angle from the original story.
Stewart had played the iconic fairy tale character in the 2012 movie based on the original Snow White story.
Frank Darabont will direct the sequel, which will be a spin-off not focusing on the character Snow White.
Earlier there were reports that the 24-year-old actress will not be returning for the second instalment of the movie. But at that time the studio had emphatically denied that Kristen would exit the franchise.
The latest report suggests that the Snow White spin-off will now be titled 'The Huntsman'. The second film will follow Chris Hemsworth, who will play the titular role.
Charlize Theron will be retained as Queen Ravenna, who is the evil stepmother of Snow White.
The film will be released in 2016.
