BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi on Wednesday stated that 'Vadodara has been my 'karmabhoomi'. The Gujarat chief minister's statement came after he filed his nomination papers from Vadodara Lok Sabha constituency.
Modi said that he was grateful to the BJP for nominating him from Vadodara as he had started his political career from Saurashtra.
He urged the people of Vadodara to celebrate democracy by going out and voting vote for the BJP in large numbers.
Narendra Modi filed his nomination papers at 11.28am before the returning officer of Vadodara.
Prior to that he held a roadshow in a jeep, a rare rare public outing, and waved to thousands of cheering crowd on his way to the collector's office to file his nominations.
