Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the public, particularly women and young people, to participate in large numbers in the final stage of the Lok Sabha elections. In a post on X, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of voter turnout, stating that 57 seats across 8 states and union territories are up for grabs. He expressed his hope that young and female voters will exercise their democratic rights in record numbers, collectively contributing to a more vibrant and participative democracy. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also took to X, appealing to the voters of Uttar Pradesh, especially the youth, to elect a government focused on developmental issues. Shah called for voters to cast their ballots in record numbers, electing an honest administration that will invest in infrastructure such as highways, airports, high-speed trains, and internet connectivity, both in the country and in Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, Shah emphasized the need for a credible government that will provide housing, cooking gas, and free medical treatment to every underprivileged individual, thereby transforming the landscape of India and Uttar Pradesh.
Furthermore, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has also urged the voters to support the INDIA bloc in the elections. According to the Election Commission of India, 10.06 million voters, including about 5.24 million men, 4.82 million women and 3,574 third-gender voters, will exercise their right to vote.
