A total number of 1,49,394 new cases of coronavirus are reported in India in the last 24 hours. The recoveries are increasing on a regular basis and the active cases are getting reduced slowly. The newly reported cases are 13 percent less when than yesterday. There are 2,46,674 recoveries in the last 24 hours and there are 14,35,569 active cases. The death toll is increasing on a regular basis and 1072 people passed away yesterday taking the total death tally to cross 5 lakh mark. The total deaths reported in India are said to be 5,00,055. The daily positivity rate is declining on a regular basis and it stands at 9.27 percent which was more than 15 percent last week. The total number of vaccination doses given in the country are said to be 168.47 crores.

The total number of cases reported in India in total are said to be 4,19,52,712 and the recoveries are 4,00,17,088. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the total number of tests conducted for coronavirus are said to be 73,58,04,280. With a sudden decline in the new cases, the government of New Delhi allowed the schools, colleges, gyms and government offices are allowed to be reopened. Kerala reported the highest ever cases in a day and the new tally is said to be 42,677 along with 601 new deaths. Karnataka (16,436) and Maharashtra (15,252) continue to report high number of cases.
