The second wave of coronavirus is slowly calming down and the daily tally of new cases reported in India are above 60,000 mark. The states are lifting the restrictions and several relaxations are issued in the recent week after the new cases saw a decline. When the normalcy is back on the track, there are ongoing predictions about the third wave of coronavirus in the country. Several health experts warned the government about a possible third wave and the speeches of Narendra Modi hinted that the government is now well prepared for the third wave if it hits the country. There are talks that the third wave of coronavirus will hit the country in October this year. The experts said that the threat of coronavirus would continue for one more year.

But they say that the vaccination drive will reduce the intensity of the third wave of coronavirus. A bunch of medical experts surveyed by Reuters predicted that the third wave of coronavirus will hit India in October and they said that the third wave could be handled better. Coronavirus pandemic will remain as a public health concern told the experts. 40 healthcare specialists, doctors, scientists, virologists, epidemiologists and professors from around the world were questioned by Reuters. 85 percent of them predicted that the third wave will arrive in October and the others said it may be in September. 70 percent of them said that the situation will be in control when compared to the second wave of coronavirus.

There was a huge shortage of beds, oxygen cylinders and medical facilities in the country when the second wave of coronavirus hit India in April and May. India is now well prepared with all the needs told the experts. The vaccination program in the country too is happening at a faster pace when compared to the previous months.
