Your lips like the rest of your body need care and pampering. Infact they need more attention than the rest of your face as they are very sensitive. Here are few beauty tips for your lips.
Moisturisation
Lips need external moisturization all the time as there are no pores in your lips. Use a lip balm to keep the lips moisturised and soft. Choose a lip balm that has petroleum jelly, beeswax or paraffin as a base.
Smoking
Smoking causes your lips to darken. Also if you have a habit of drinking caffeine or alcohol in excess then your lips will be darker. So avoid smoking, alcohol and caffeine to get healthy lips.
Licking lips
Another bad habit that harms your lips is licking. Using saliva to moisturize your lips will leave them drier as saliva evaporates quickly. Use a lip balm to moisturize and not saliva.
Sun protection
Sun exposure also causes lip to darken. Make sure that your lip balm or other lip products have SPF/UV protectors, in case you intend to spend time out in the sun.
Lipstick
Choose your lipstick with care. Never use low quality or outdated products on your lips. Always remove the lipstick using a lip makeup remover or olive/almond oil.
