Priyanka Gandhi on Thursday stated that she was the daughter of Rajiv Gandhi. Priyanka's statement came in sharp reaction to Narendra Modi's comment that she was like a daughter to him.

The 42-year-old daughter of Congress President Sonia Gandhi was campaigning for her brother Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in Amethi, when she was asked for her reaction to the BJP's prime ministerial candidate's statement.

Priyanka, who had stopped her SUV to shake hands with some Congress supporters, was asked the question. Initially the Congress leader didn't reply, but after few moments she stepped out of the SUV and answered with a stern face and left without taking any other question.
