Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, has dismissed certain media reports suggesting that he has offered his resignation in light of the current crisis within the Congress government. During an interaction with reporters, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu clarified, "No one has requested my resignation, nor have I tendered it to anyone." In a jab at the Bharatiya Janata Party, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu confidently stated, "We will demonstrate our majority in the assembly. We will emerge victorious, and the people of Himachal will triumph."

The Congress government in Himachal Pradesh is facing a critical situation as six of its MLAs have switched sides and are believed to be in contact with the BJP. To add to the Congress's troubles, Vikramaditya Singh has announced his resignation from the state cabinet and has already discussed this with Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Amidst the chaos in the assembly, the Vidhan Sabha Speaker has suspended 15 BJP MLAs, including the leader of the Opposition, Jairam Thakur, due to their unruly behavior, leading to an adjournment of the session. Undeterred, Sukhu has vowed not to be intimidated and remains determined that the Congress will retain power.

Additionally, the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh stated that he is in contact with some of the six MLAs who voted against the party in the Rajya Sabha election. "The BJP is spreading false information in order to create division within our legislative party. They are trying to persuade Congress MLAs to leave the party and join them. However, I want to emphasize that the Congress remains united...We have been in touch with some of the MLAs who voted for the BJP," Sukhu explained.

Recognizing the loss of support and the potential loss of power in the state, the Congress leadership acted swiftly by sending former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and DK Shivakumar to Shimla for discussions with party members. Sources have also revealed that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has been in touch with former party leader Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to discuss the situation in Himachal Pradesh.
