Huge Rise in the New Coronavirus Cases in Delhi

The third wave of the coronavirus is done and all the restrictions are lifted. The health experts predict that the fourth wave would hit India in the first week of June or July. China is battling with the new variant of coronavirus and is heading for a lockdown. In a surprise, the national capital of India, New Delhi reported 366 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours and the positive rate is now at 3.95 percent. This is the highest ever since February 3rd. The total coronavirus tally in Delhi is 18,67,572 and the death count stands at 26,158. There are no new deaths reported in Delhi in the last two days.

Delhi reported 325 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday and the positive rate stands at 2.39 percent. The government of New Delhi announced free precaution doses of the coronavirus vaccines in the hospitals after considering the upward trend of cases and the positivity rate in the national capital. The precaution doses will be given to those who completed nine months after taking their second dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The Delhi government issued a statement about the same yesterday. The precautionary dose drive in the national capital is rolled out for all the people aged above 18 years. The government of Delhi will meet to discuss about the closure of schools and the educational institutions which is a major cause of concern.
