Amazon To Make Rs 20,761 Cr Investment For Setting Up Data Centers In Telangana

Amazon Web Services, the most notable E-Commerce company has decided to invest a good sum of 20,761 crore ($ 2.77 Bn) for setting up multiple data centers in Telangana.
Delighted by this move, IT Minister KTR tweeted about Amazon’s largest campus being set up in Hyderabad
For those that are unaware Amazon’s largest campus in the world (3 Mn Sq Ft) & their largest FC in Asia are also located in Hyderabad All this in last 4 years

First time in the history of Telangana, this would be the highest Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the state.
The idea of this investment didn’t come through as a surprise. There were talks about Amazon Web Services in thoughts to set up two data centres near Hyderabad.

Initially, the speculated amount was to be around Rs 11,630 crore (around $1.6 billion). However, the company had plans to pool in more than what was decided.
As per the Government of Telangana, AWS would set up three availability zones in Hyderabad.
By mid-2022, The AWS Asia Pacific (Hyderabad) region is most likely to start its operations.
Every data center in AZ is independent of its operations, right from power, cooling, physical security, to connections via a low-latency network.
