Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after honouring former Prime Minister Attal Bihari Vajpayee with Bharat Ratna now BJP is ready to ready to confer Padma Vibhushan, the second highest civilian award in the country, on former deputy PM Lal Krishna Advani.

According to sources, it is said that, Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, southern superstar RajnikanthShiromani Akali Dal patron and Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal may be honoured with Padma Vibhushan.

Apart from this Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar, film director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, script writer and lyricist Salim Khan Ad filmmaker Prasoon Joshi's may also be in the list of this year Padma Vibhushan, added the source 

Vedic scholar Prof David Frawley's is also considered for the award and Sports minister already recommended for Padma Vibhushan in special case but in the controversial of Sian Nehwal, MHA has  already replied that it’s not only concerning the sports only.

The official announcement of PM Narendra Modi govt is still awaited.

In regards to the media speculation of the recipient of the Padma Vibhushan Awards, Bjp spoke person Narsimha Rao said that, the names mentioned in media are of very honourable person but still we have to wait for the official announcement.
