Come April, and two of industry's titans - Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth - will clash at the box-office. While it is a big news for the fans who will get to taste of the best of both the worlds, trade analysts are wondering how this thunderous co-incidence would impact the box-office.

Rajnikanth's eagerly-anticipated 'Kochadaiiyaan' hits the theaters on April 11 and so does Big B’s much-awaited sequel 'Bhootnath Returns'.

All said, this isn’t the first time that these two superstars will clash at the BO. Back in 2007, Sr Bachchan‘s 'Jhoom Barabar Jhoom' and Rajini Sir's 'Shivaji The Boss' released on the same day. While JBJ bombed at the box office, Shivaji went on to rake in humungous success.

So will the history repeat itself this time again? Seems so.

While Rajinikanth's 'Kochadaiiyaan' is set for massive release in 6000 screens worldwide, which is reportedly the highest ever recorded, 'Bhootnath Returns' is a movie made on a more modest-scale. Not to forget, Rajni is literally worshipped across the world by his fans. But then, the craze of Amitabh Bachchan is no less in the northern part of the country.

With the biggies boxing at the box-office, let's wait and watch who walks away with the laurels at the end of the day.
