Not many seem to enjoy the trust of BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, who vests all his confidence and works with a small group of trusted aides. And with the power corridors now throwing its doors open to welcome him, he could be expected to rely on none but old confidantes to take charge of India's administration. Here are a few Mod's key players the nation must watch out for in the days to come:

Amit Shah: Amith Shah and Narendra Modi's association goes back to their RSS days. It's being speculated that Modi's closest confidante would be inducted into the Prime Minister's office. Another section is buzzing that Shah might be left out of the government to take care of a wide range of activities, from spearheading the party's rise to leading the BCCI.  No matter how he is placed, he is the only man Modi would turn to in times of crisis.

K Kailashnathan: Expect the retired IAS bureaucrat to pull all strings of policy implementation when NaMo comes to power. The chief principal secretary in the Gujarat government, the level of trust this man enjoys can be figured out from the fact that his designation was exclusively created for him post his retirement. Kailashnathan could head Delhi and be the chief advisor to Modi once the next government is formed.

Bharat Lal: The modest Indian Forest Service official, who is currently serving as Gujarat's resident commissioner in Delhi, is another bureaucrat who can expect a hike in designation. Lal has spearheaded his meetings in Delhi co-ordinated Modi's interactions with the press. He could be an asset to the Prime Minister's Office in the coming days.

Rajnath Singh: Now that the news of BJP-led NDA coming to power is making waves, expect BJP party president Rajnath Singh to be rewarded for his unsolicited support. Rajnath stood by Modi even when veterans like LK Advani questioned the party's decision. Rajnath Singh might be offered a ministry. However, if he chooses to work as party chief, he is likely to be a key player.

Arun Jaitley: The senior BJP leader is a staunch supporter of Narendra Modi and has been of the key players in his campaign, never sparing the Congress his wrath. Jaitley is likely to be offered finance ministry.

Nitin Gadkari: Nitin Gadkari might finally bag a national role. The former party president isn't the biggest fan of Modi, his role in fire fighting opposition from within the party makes him a top contender for the urban development ministry.

Vasundhara Raje, Raman Singh:  The two leaders are unlikely to leave their states to serve the Union, but the two chief ministers are close to Modi. The BJP's prime ministerial candidate had earlier spoken of taking the states along as a team. If that happens at all, the two chief ministers could be pivotal to the developments.
