Chicago police has issued an alert after a man attempted to lure a teenager and a child into his car in Lincoln Park neighborhood. The incident took place on Wednesday, between 8 and 9 AM when the kids were walking to their school.

The two kids - a 13-year-old girl and 10-year-old boy - were walking towards their school near 1700 N. Larrabee Street, when a man driving a dark grey sedan stopped next to them. According to the police the man allegedly said to the kids, “Come over here.” But the children didn't stop and continued walking.

The man persisted and followed the children in his car. He stopped the vehicle next to them and asked again if they want a ride. However, the kids ignored him and continued walking. After which the sedan took a U-turn and left them alone.

Police is looking for a white man, in between 40 to 50 years, and has balding black and grey hair. Police has asked people to inform the authorities at the Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380 in case they have any information on the Lincoln Park child luring incident.
