The detention of retired judge Giribala Singh by the Central Bureau of Investigation has changed the inquiry into the suspicious death of actor-model Twisha Sharma. What began as a suspected dowry death case is now seen by investigators as possibly involving tampering with evidence, altering digital information, and attempts to hide the truth about the events that occurred in a well-known Bhopal home on May 12. Following nearly ten hours of questioning over three days, along with site checks, forensic mapping, and examination of digital records, the CBI took Giribala Singh, who is Twisha Sharma's mother-in-law, into custody over accusations of evidence tampering. Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, is already in jail. Investigators are now planning to confront both the mother and son together as they work to piece together the last moments before Twisha's death. However, among the forensic studies, CCTV recordings, and digital timelines lies a troubling narrative involving claims of dowry harassment, distrust, financial arguments, and family conflicts that are now being thoroughly investigated.

Twisha's family claims that the issues began right after her wedding. They say that the gifts and dowry presented during the marriage were often criticized as not meeting their expectations. Investigators are also looking into claims that Twisha was mocked after she came back from a trip to Vietnam. Tensions reportedly increased when it became known that she owned shares in several companies. Individuals connected to the investigation disclosed that Twisha had nearly Rs 20 lakh worth of shares. Her family accuses Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh of wanting to have those shares transferred to them. Investigators are now checking if arguments over these financial matters were part of a larger pattern of conflict within the family. The claims become even more serious when linked to allegations related to Twisha's pregnancy. Her family states that she was pressured to abort the pregnancy due to concerns about the child's father. They claim she was told she could only stay in the family if she ended the pregnancy. Investigators are looking into whether these claims can be supported by medical documents, text messages, and statements from witnesses.

The CBI is also looking into several months of communication between Twisha and her parents. Her family says that Twisha often told them about the harassment, fights, and dowry-related pressures she faced at her husband’s home. On April 19, during a trip to Rajasthan, she reportedly told her family that Samarth Singh and Giribala Singh kept questioning her character and making her feel ashamed. Investigators are now trying to see if these claims provide important background information about what occurred on May 12, the day Twisha was discovered hanging. The agency's investigation approach goes beyond typical questioning. Sources suggest that the CBI has adopted a method referred to as a "Tunnel View Investigation".

Every action that took place in the three-story Katara Hills home is being turned into a digital version. Information from CCTV, phone records, Wi-Fi data, online activity, call logs, forensic analysis, and detailed room layouts are being combined into a virtual timeline.

The detectives are successfully creating a digital representation of Twisha's last hours. The aim is to resolve questions that have troubled the investigation since the start - Where precisely was Twisha in her last moments? Who went in and out of different rooms? Which phones were in use? What online activities took place? Who was in contact with whom? And most importantly, does the digital proof back up the story given by family members? The main focus is on a specific 40-minute window starting from when Twisha is said to have gone to the terrace gym until she was taken to the hospital. Investigators are looking into why only certain CCTV footage was made public. Why did footage of Twisha going into the gym and later being helped downstairs get shared, while other possibly crucial videos are missing? Was evidence picked out intentionally, or were important records changed?

Another important question is what transpired right after she passed away. If Twisha was discovered hanging on the terrace, who made the choice to move her body downstairs? Why was CPR performed before notifying the authorities? Was the body's movement an emergency action, or did it change a possible crime scene? Investigators are assessing whether these actions compromised the validity of the evidence. The CBI is also investigating reported contradictions in official documents. One point being looked into is how Twisha's height was recorded in police files. Investigators want to find out if this was a mistake, a lack of proper investigation, or part of a larger attempt to shape the story surrounding her death. Call records, cell tower locations, and digital traces are now essential to the inquiry. The agency is tracing every interaction that happened before and after the event, including pinpointing who Twisha reached out to in her last hours and if any communication habits changed right after her death.

The inquiry is also likely to broaden beyond just immediate family members. Household staff, friends, visitors to the home after the incident, and others linked to the family may soon be questioned. For the CBI, the arrest of Giribala Singh is not seen as the conclusion of the investigation but potentially the beginning of a more in-depth phase. Detectives are no longer only focused on how Twisha died. They are also trying to find out if the truth about her death was later changed, hidden, or manipulated.
