Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy seems all set to resign from office today. The chief minister's office (CMO) was reportedly dismantled and all his personal belomgings were cleared on Monday. If he resigns, then the big question is that 'will he quit Congress'.

Indications of Kiran Reddy's resignation has been inferred from the relocation of top bureaucrats in the CMO to other departments. Ajeya Kallam, principal secretary in CMO, was put in charge of   the finance department and secretary SS Rawat has been posted to APGenco as managing director.

Secretary KS Jawahar Reddy, has been appointed as secretary, projects, in the irrigation department. Special secretary N Sridhar has been posted to AP Beverages Corporation as managing director while OSD M Surender has been appointed MD of AP Seeds Corporation.  Satya Rao, the chief minister's press secretary has been appointed as chairman of the AP Press.

According to a seasoned political analyst removal of Reddy's belongings indicate that he may resign on Tuesday. Kiran Reddy's personal belongings were removed from the CM's chambers by Monday evening. Among the things removed were a set of clothes and footwear that was shifted to his camp office in Begumpet.

Various theories have been floating regarding the action of the Andhra Pradesh CM after quitting his office. Some of the aides of Kiran Reddy assert that their leader would quit from the Congress after resigning as CM. The source were confident that after resignation as CM and quitting from Congress he would launch a new political party.

Kiran Kumar Reddy along with Seemandhra leaders like Lagadapati Rajagopal have plans to launch the Samaikhyandhra Party.

The Andhra CM is likely to resign from office today in anticipation of the passage of Telangana Bill by voice vote in Lok Sabha. Post his resignation Kiran is expected to launch a campaign in the Seemandhra region against the Congress. He would hold the Congress responsible for the bifurcation of the state, inspite of the opposition from the people and political leaders like him. That way he would not be held responsible for the division of the state by the people in the Seemandhra region.
