Babu set to stage dharna, no police permission

The TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu-who arrived at Vizag airport this morning-is all set to move towards Vizianagaram district to stage the proposed dharna against the liquor mafia.

It has to be mentioned here that there is no permission for Chandrababu Naidu to hold these protests. Notably, TDP approached the government and sought permission to hold protest against liquor mafia in Vizianagram district. The police denied the permission as the matter was reportedly prejudicial.

Upset over denial of permission, Chandrababu Naidu apparently compared Vizianagaram with Pakistan, but said he would however hold protests. He has even arrived at Vishakapatnam airport this morning to reach Vizianagaram by road.

Bothsa lashes out at Babu:
The PCC chief Bothsa Satyanarayana has lashed out at Chandrababu Naidu for allegedly comparing Vizianagaram district as another Pakistan.  Coming down heaving, PCC chief said Vizianagaram was a peaceful district and Babu was trying to disturb the law and order. To make a point, Bothsa Satyanarayana has said that Babu back-stabbed his father-in-law to become the chief minister. Further, he demanded Chandrababu Naidu to tender apologies to the people of Vizianagaram district.

Our sources said that Babu is likely to be arrested near Tagarapuvalasa since he doesn’t have permission to hold protest.

Chandrababu Naidu on public issues:
The warnings of the ruling parties and the arrests apparently won’t stop Chandrababu Naidu from holding rallies and dharnas on public issues. Earlier, Chandrababu Naidu tried to approach Babli project in Maharashtra in July, 2010 to hold a massive protest there against the ongoing project that is likely to turn many districts of Telangana regions dry. He was denied permission by the state police as well as Maharashtra Government. However, Babu along with his team of MLAs marched towards Babli. The TDP team headed by Babu was arrested on AP-Maharashtra border by the Maharashtra police and were detailed for up to two days.

We have to wait and see whether Chandrababu Naidu’s efforts against fighting alleged corruption would turn fruitful to the party in the forth coming by-polls.  (Phani)
