The Kshatriya Karni Sena has offered a large cash reward of over 1.1 million rupees for the "killing" of imprisoned criminal Lawrence Bishnoi. This reward was announced by the group's leader, Raj Shekhawat, to avenge the death of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, a prominent Rajput leader who was shot and killed by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang last December. In a video, Shekhawat can be seen offering the reward to any police officer who kills the jailed gangster. Bishnoi is currently being held in a Gujarat prison on charges related to cross-border drug trafficking. The Bishnoi gang has also claimed responsibility for the murder of a former Maharashtra minister and has been linked to a shooting incident outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan's home. Last December, Gogamedi was gunned down in broad daylight at his Jaipur residence, with two of the men he was with opening fire and killing him, while also critically injuring his security guard. One of the shooters was also killed during the attack.
