Singer Taylor Swift is all set for a role reversal.

The musical doyen,  during a recent performance in Los Angeles, ducked a role in a  film and decided to go for it. Titled 'The Giver', the film also stars Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges and is being currently  shot in South Africa.

Swift  said that she had little inkling about the film makers being their in the audience during her performance.

"Actually, the movie came about very unexpectedly. When I played my shows in Los Angeles, I was unaware that people from this movie were in the audience, and I had a role offered to me the next week," she said.

"I think my show tends to be very emotional and moody and they saw something that they needed in the role. So, I`m very honoured and lucky to get to be a part of it, and we`ll see how it goes," she added.
