The curtains have been raised! Taylor Swift has dropped her new song "Shake It Off".

Swift once again collaborated with her "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" team of Max Martin and Shellback on this one too.

Not just that, Taylor is also releasing her fifth album called 1989, the year in which she was born.

While Swift's music has long straddled on the brink of country and pop, 1989 will be her first officially documented pop album. The album will hit the stores on October 27.

Taylor had already dropping mysterious Instagram clues about her big announcement on Monday.

She also irked Jimmy Fallon by not disclosing what would happen on this live stream but did confirm the time and that it was a live stream on Yahoo!.

This is the second time that Taylor has used a live stream to promote an album.
