There is strong speculation that the government is planning to organise a 5-day special parliament session from September 18th to 22nd in the new parliament building.

The central government is yet to release the agenda of the parliament sessions and speculations arose about the new bills as five states are running up for assembly elections.

There is a possibility of the Jamili bill, that is the elections to be held simultaneously, that is general, state and local polls same time. Modi is also planning to introduce reservations to women in directly elected bodies. To amend constitutional bills, two-thirds of members in both houses need to vote.

Besides this congress leaders and Shiv Sena are questioning the government for organizing the special sessions in between the 18th and 22nd where the dates will collide with the Ganesh Chaturthi festival and call it a tactic play of the BJP.

Congress MP Jairam Ramesh says he wondered why BJP wanted a special assembly session as the monsoon session had just ended three weeks back. They call it a scam of the BJP.

Narendra Modi is planning to exhibit the success of Chandrayaan 3 and G 20 in the parliament session.
