AAP Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has been keen to expand his party to all the neighboring states. AAP will be contesting in Punjab and Goa in the upcoming Assembly polls. Arvind Kejriwal launched a phone number 70748 70748 and said that the people of the state can choose the Chief Minister candidate if AAP comes to power in the state. Arvind Kejriwal ruled himself out from the Chief Minister's race, Arvind Kejriwal said that the people, will decide through call, message or WhatsApp option. "We are leaving the decision to the 3 crore people of the state to choose their leader. They can give their vote or decision by January 17th at 5 PM. This is the first time, the people of a state in India are asked to choose their candidate" told Arvind Kejriwal.
There are speculations that Bhawant Mann will be announced as the CM candidate from AAP in Punjab. But Arvind Kejriwal took a call and he announced that the people will take the call. "Bhagwant Mann is my close pal and is the biggest face. It was his idea to ask people to choose the CM candidate.He did not want the Chief Minister candidate to be decided behind the closed doors" told Arvind Kejriwal. The other parties too are yet to declare the CM candidate for the upcoming Assembly elections. Punjab PCC Chief Navjyot Singh Sidhu said that party high command will take a call about the CM candidate.
