Covid Scare: Narendra Modi to chair a meeting with all the Chief Ministers

The coronavirus situation in India is now out of control and the new cases are increasing at a rapid speed all over. Several states imposed lockdown and night curfews as per the rise. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a review meeting with the health officials yesterday in New Delhi through a virtual conference. A total number of 1,79,723 new cases of coronavirus are reported in the last 24 hours. Narendra Modi decided to chair a meeting with all the Chief Ministers after which the Centre will impose new rules and restrictions. The Indian government will be adminstering the third dose for healthcare workers, frontline workers and all those aged above 60 years with health complications.

A meeting with the Chief Ministers is planned and various scenarios, steps to be taken in the coming weeks will be discussed. Narendra Modi along with the Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviua and others were present for the crucial meeting yesterday. Night curfews are implemented in Maharashtra, New Delhi, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka. Pregnant women along with the differently-abled employees are exempted from attending the work in all the government offices in the country. They have been asked to work from home. All the rallies and public meetings are banned across the country. Some of the states imposed 144 section to avoid people gathering in public places.
