Uddhav Thackeray’s residence Matoshree threatened to be blown up in a suspicious call from Dubai.
A few threatening calls were made to Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s residence Matoshree on Saturday. The unknown caller claimed to be a member of Dawood Ibrahim’s gang and in the calls, the suspicious man threatened the CM that his house would be blown up in the next few days.
Mumbai crime branch has started investigating the matter and it is suspected that the calls could be a prank on the Chief Minister.
However, the crime branch is not taking the calls lightly and has deployed enough security personnel on the Matoshree premises. The crime branch has employed different teams on this matter to trace the caller and will also inform the local police.
The anonymous caller rang up twice around 10 30 pm on Saturday and said that Dawood Ibrahim wants to talk to CM Uddhav Thackeray. However, the telephone operator did not transfer the call to the Chief Minister that night.
The police beefed up the security at Thackeray’s bungalow which is located in the kalanagar colony.
The caller did not reveal his identity but said that he was calling from Dubai on behalf of Dawood Ibrahim. Both the calls were received around the same time on Saturday night.
A top police official told a news agency that they are trying to verify if the calls were received from Dubai or any other place.
The Maharashtra government has issued a statement regarding the calls and said the state cabinet expresses concern over the calls received and also condemned the incident.
The state government has also demanded the Centr’s intervention into the matter as it is surreal to receive a call from Dawood’s aid to a CM.
CM Uddhav Thackeray and also Dawood Ibrahim’s names are on the limelight after the suspicious death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput. It is speculated that the underworld and mainly Dawood’s orders are behind the murder of the actor and that is the reason why the Maharashtra government was against the CBI inquiry on the death case.
Allegedly, Bollywood’s superstars and top business magnates have connections with Dawood. Many pics of the same have also surfaced after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Bollywood has remained silent ever since the actor died.
