Two people have been shot to death and the third person has been severely injured after the shooting that had taken place inside a dormitory on the campus of Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas.
The police has said on Monday that two women were found dead where as the third being a two- year- old was rushed to a hospital.
The students and the employees of the university were asked to take shelter in a place as a precaution, until further notice.
Students, faculty and staff are instructed to take shelter and stay in place until further notice. This is a precautionary measure.

A&M-Commerce UPD is actively investigating three gunshot victims in Pride Rock Residence Hall on the A&M-Commerce campus.
The shelter- in- place has been put in effect for about two hours before it had been lifted. However the dormitory and the areas surrounding it have been blocked due to the investigation that is going on.
The precautionary shelter in place recommendations have been lifted. Due to the ongoing investigation, Pride Rock and surrounding areas are still blocked off. The Rayburn Student Center is available for students that may be displaced by the ongoing investigation. (1/2)

The A&M University in Commerce, Texas has also made the availability of counselors on the campus in order to help the students and the employees of the university to get through the situation.
The university has also canceled the classes, programs and the events on the campus on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of February and has mentioned that the campus would resume with normal functionalities from the 6th of February.
The names and the identities of the victims are not yet released and are said to be released soon.
The university police were called and reported about the shooting that has taken place in the campus, at around 10:17 a.m by a student who lives in the Pride Rock residence hall on the campus. As said by the University Police Chief Bryan Vaughn to the reporters. He added saying that the police has responded and found corpse of women in the room.
Vaughn has added saying that the two- year- old was also in the room and has been rushed to the hospital due to the injuries. The child is said to be in a stable condition at the hospital.
The identities of the victims have not been revealed and it is not known whether the victims were students of the university or not.
The University Police Chief has said that there appears to be no other threats although the motive behind the shooting has not been revealed.
The Commerce Is said to be about 67 miles northeast of Dallas.
According to the policy which has been made in August 2016, those who hold a current and a valid concealed handgun license in Texas are allowed to carry the concealed handgun with them on certain areas of the campus and the holders of the handgun are also allowed to store their handgun at a safe in the campus housing.
