Government to Send 36 Union Ministers to J&K in Massive Outreach

Jammu and Kashmir will be visited by a group of 36 union ministers in order to raise awareness about the ‘positive impact’ of the decision that has been made by the Modi government on August 5, 2019 regarding the Article 370. it is said that the ministers visiting the region will let the people know about the measures being taken by the government for the welfare of the region and its people.

This visit is said to be the first visit of the union ministers to the region of Jammu and Kashmir after the special status of Jammu and Kashmir has been revoked by the Center and has bifurcated the state in to two union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.

Starting from January 18, the union ministers will be visiting 52 places in total in Jammu and Kashmir. The ministers will be reaching out to people across the union territory up to panchayat level and the plans that has been made by the center in order to expedite the process of development in the region, will be shared with the people.

The law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, railway minister Piyush Goyal, textiles minister Smriti Irani and several other senior leaders including Anurag Thakur, Giriraj Singh, Prahlad Joshi, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Renuka Singh, Jitendra Singh and Kiren Rijiju, Hardeep Singh Puri, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyothi are among the other ministers in the list who are likely visit and travel through Srinagar, Jammu and other regions on January 19.

It has been warned by the Intelligence agencies that a rise in anti-India activities in the valley can take place with the ease in the restrictions.

It may be noted that restoration of mobile internet has been done in five districts of Jammu and Kashmir with several riders. Broadband in hotels, travel establishments and hospitals have also been allowed by the administration of the union territory but it has been done only on the white-listed websites.
