In January, Jeff Bezos has planned on visiting India with an agenda to discuss business policies for foreign companies and he might meet Narendra Modi around that time.
Bezos wants to make it a point to visit India when small traders are against e-commerce companies. Bezos is happy with the way Amazon is growing in India and he hopes that there will be peaceful regulatory rules in the country.
Bezos said “ Whatever the regulations are ... they are stable in time and that's one of the things we're hoping will now be true. We'll see,"
Could be that Bezos is worried about the changes in e-commerce policies in India as he has his investments of about $5 billion dollars in one of the largest foreign subsidiaries.
Two people assume that Bezos will talk about how the Indians are benefited from jobs through these businesses.
The traders felt that there has been unfair business practices and violations of the foreign direct investment policies by Amazon and Flipkart during the Diwali sale.
On November 20th there will be a ‘National protest day” and a Dharna held in 500 cities, said The Confederation of All India Traders.
When Amazon and Flipkart were asked about this, they were confident about being fully compliant with the policies.
