With the outburst of the popular #ChangeWithin initiative recently conducted on October 19th, 2019 in the presence of PM Narendra Modi, popular entrepreneur and socialite Upasana Kamineni, Ram Charan’s wife, took to her Instagram account to show her disappointment regarding the lack of exposure of the South Indian film artist in the initiative.

The event experienced the presence of some of the renowned Bollywood actors and actresses to discuss more on the ideologies of Mahatma Gandhi and his preachings. Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Kangana Ranaut, Sonam Kapoor were some of the celebrities present in the event.

However, owing to the lack of involvement of the South Indian celebrities and socialites, Ram Charan’s wife, Upasana Kamineni felt the need to express her hurt and pain via an Instagram post directed to the prime minister. Her post emphasised on how the South Indian film industry was pushed aside and not paid any attention that it should have received.

With all due respect we felt that the representation of Leading personalities & cultural icons was limited only to Hindi Artists and the The South Film Industry was neglected. Apart from the presence of the popular telugu actor, Dil Raju, no other celebrities or film stars from the South Indian province was present in the event. The #ChangeWithin initiative was organized as a drive on the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi to promote his ideologies in the world. The main initiative with the invites to the film industry was to discuss these ideologies and possibly promote them to make a movie.

Several of the celebrities also shared their experience in the event on their social media handles.
