Reliance Jio has introduced a new prepaid option known as the Youth and Gaming Plan in India. This plan targets individuals who frequently engage in gaming, streaming, and using social media. It offers daily data perks combined with extra subscriptions and access to cloud storage. In addition to unlimited calling and SMS services, it provides a variety of entertainment and practical tools meant for frequent data users. The Youth and Gaming Plan is priced at Rs. 459, lasts for 28 days, and gives a total of 61GB of data. This includes 2GB each day plus an extra 5GB of high-speed data. Once the high-speed data is used up, the speed is reduced to 64Kbps. The plan also offers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS each day. Eligible customers can utilize unlimited 5G data on Jio's True 5G network.
Jio has included several digital subscriptions with the Youth and Gaming Plan. Customers gain access to JioGames Mobile, FanCode via JioTV, and Snapchat+. The plan also features a three-month subscription to JioHotstar and provides 50GB of storage on JioAICloud. These perks aim to deliver both entertainment and useful services in one recharge. Additionally, the Youth and Gaming Plan has a Google Gemini Pro offer for 18 months, worth Rs. 35,100. This offer grants access to advanced AI features and 5TB of cloud storage. To keep enjoying these benefits, users must stay active on qualifying Jio plans throughout the study period. Importantly, Jio users need to log into each service with the same mobile number linked to their Jio account. Regular recharges are necessary to maintain some of the bundled perks as well.
A recent study indicates that Jio is providing free incoming SMS through Wi-Fi calling for users traveling overseas. Users can receive messages without needing an international roaming package, provided their phone is connected to Wi-Fi and VoWiFi is turned on. This feature helps users get OTPs and banking notifications without incurring additional costs. It requires an active Jio plan, a compatible device, and a reliable internet connection.
