Disney+ contents removed from Hotstar in India; says it was testing Beta version

The streaming service Hotstar website and the mobile app have reverted back to their original state in less than 24 hours after the Disney+ had integrated with Hotstar and many popular shows have been made available to the users in India, such as The Mandalorian, Marvel’s Her Project and The World According to Jeff Goldblum.

The contents of Disney+ which have been made available for the users in India has also been removed.

The former chairman and the Chief Executive Officer of Disney, Robert Iger has initially announced that the 29th of March would be the official launch date of Disney+ in India.

A spokesperson of Hotstar has said that a limited release of the beta version of the Disney+ Hotstar app was being tested currently and it has been done only a small number of customers which was in preparation for the complete version of the full- fledged app which would be launched on the 29th of March.

The users in India have been confused when a simple update of the app wherein the logo has been changed and the availability of accessing through the wide catalogue of the titles of Disney shows, which has been done eighteen days in advance to the actually date that has been scheduled for re- branding the streaming service Hotstar.

However, the streaming service Hotstar has been reverted back to the original logo and content which made few consumers who have started watching some of the shows being unhappy as they ought to wait for another sixteen days in order to view the content of Disney+.
