WhatsApp will Stop Working on Older Version Smartphones from 2020

WhatsApp has withdrawn support for older mobile devices which tells us that WhatsApp will stop working on the older mobile devices globally. The users of Windows phones will not be able to use after December 31 said Facebook. The users of windows are already experiencing problems and are not able to create new WhatsApp accounts or re-verifying the existing accounts.

“ Whatsapp will stop working on millions of phones in the next couple of months as the company withdraws support for some older mobile platforms. From February 1, 2020, any iPhone running under iOS 8 or older will no longer be supported, along with any Android device running version 2.3.7 or older,” said Facebook.

Facebook has said that millions of older versions of mobile phones will not be able to use WhatsApp. It also mentioned that any iPhone running under iOS 18 or older and android devices with version 2.3.7 and older will no longer support the usage of WhatsApp from February 1, 2020.

Facebook bought WhatsApp in 2014 for $19 billion as it aimed to integrate the platform for messages into Messenger and Instagram as these are the other services of Facebook.
