Love the smell of freshly popped popcorn? Well, now here is a smartphone app that allows you to enjoy the buttery scent of popcorn in just a click.
You heard it right! iPhone makers have devised a first-ever popcorn-scented smartphone game that allows you to sniff on your favorite snack while you play Poptopia, a digital popcorn popper.
Developed by Pop Secret in association with the advertising agency Deutsch LA, the game comes with external Pop Dongle that imparts the devilishly delicious smell of freshly microwaved popcorn to your nostrils through an iPhone attachment.
Poptopia is a game all about shooting popped kernels into "The Almighty Mouth God." The more kernels you shoot inside the mouth, the more delicious the scent of popcorn gets.
“It's time you let your nose have as much fun as your eyes, ears and thumbs do when playing mobile games,” the app’s commercial boasts.
You can download Poptopia for free on iTunes. Nevertheless, the attachment comes with a price tag of $150.
It does gratify instantly. But whether it beats the delight of munching down a bag of freshly popped popcorn is a different story altogether.
