Last year, the tech companies Apple and Google introduced their iPhone 17 Pro series and Pixel 10 lineup worldwide. These collections are the companies' top-tier smartphone models, showcasing the best technical specifications. Recently, information about the upcoming versions of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pixel 10 series has started appearing online. Now, there are leaks about the screens of these smartphones. Reports indicate that Apple and Google are likely to feature Samsung's new display, which uses the latest OLED technology, in the anticipated iPhone 18 Pro series, the iPhone Fold, and the Google Pixel 11 series. According to sources in the industry, the South Korean news outlet ETNews reveals that Samsung Display's division will provide its next-generation M series OLED screens to Apple and Google for their future flagship phones. This new OLED display is expected to incorporate the latest M16 luminescent material, replacing the existing flagship Samsung M14 OLED display found in several high-end devices, including the iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and iQOO 15.
The expected iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple’s first foldable phone, as well as the Google Pixel 11, Google Pixel 11 Pro, and Google Pixel 11 Pro XL are believed to launch in the latter half of 2026, featuring the anticipated Samsung M16 OLED screen. The report also mentions that the new M16 luminescent material will significantly improve display quality compared to the Samsung M14 panels. The South Korean tech firm is also rumored to provide this new screen technology to other smartphone manufacturers for their upcoming flagship devices. As highlighted earlier, both tech companies are planning to unveil their new devices later this year. While an official announcement has not been made, images of the Google Pixel 11 Pro have recently appeared online. This model is expected to come with a larger tinted glass covering for its rear camera module, which is likely to have three cameras and an LED flash. The Pixel 11 Pro may also include an LED flash beneath the glass cover instead of on the outside like the previous model. It’s anticipated to run on Google's Tensor G6 processor.
In contrast, Apple may choose not to release the standard iPhone 18 model, opting instead to debut the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the rumored iPhone Fold in September. The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to have an upgraded 24-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats, which will be embedded in a smaller Dynamic Island feature. Further information is likely to be shared in the upcoming months.
