Mercedes has decided to pay a fitting tribute to its racing star and F1 legend Michael Schumacher who is lying in comatose in a hospital following a grave skiing accident in the Meribel French Ski Resort last month.

As a mark of support for the ailing racer, Mercedes' new car for 2014 Formula One season will sport a message of support for the seven-time world champ.

The bodywork of the W05 model will flash the message "#Keep Fighting Michael," which has been used as a hashtag on the social networking site Twitter for fans to send their messages of support to the German.

Schumacher ended his Formula One career with Mercedes in 2012, after making a  return to the sport in 2010.
