Mercedes-Benz is set to launch the S400 on 29 March 2016 in India. The luxury Sedan will now join other S-class models in the country. With the launch, the German auto giant is looking to further strengthen its position in the market in India. Mercedes has chose to keep hybrid version out of India.

Maximum torque: 480Nm
Power: 324bhp
Paired to a 7-speed or a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
Expected price: approximately 1.2 crore.

Experts say that the S400 would be ideal for those seeking better economy compared to available S500 with the V8 engine. Like other S-class models, S400 features cabin quality, specs like air suspension, huge space as well as comfort. Expected price of 1.2 crore for S400 is considered as a soft spot between the S350d and S500.
