What a comeback feat for Lionel Messi, who had to stay away from the field for 59 days, nursing a hamstring injury.

The Argentina midfielder scored twice and sailed Barcelona to a stunning 4-0 victory against Getafe at Copa del Rey.

Messi hit the third and fourth goals after replacing Andres Iniesta on the 63rd-minute in the last-16 first-leg clash. Cesc Fabregas netted the first two goals.

The Spanish club's only two defeats this season came when Messi was not playing.

Messi was hammed by injuries in 2013, the latest being when he limped out of a 4-1 win at Real Betis two months ago.
