Team India has been having a disastrous World Cup in Dubai. After being presented as the hot favorites in the T20 World Cup 2021, India opened on a disastrous note against Pakistan and the latter won the match by ten wickets. In the crucial match with New Zealand on Sunday, Team India continued to be poor and left the entire nation in shock. Team India lost their match by 8 wickets in the crucial game as they had to win to make it comfortable to the semifinals. New Zealand won the toss and they elected to field first. India lost their top batting order in no time and they never managed to dominate the other team. India reported 110 for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs.

New Zealand completed the chase in 14.3 overs after they lost just 2 wickets. Ravindra Jadeja (26 not out) and Hardik Pandya (23) are the only batsmen who had been decent for Team India. Trent Boult (3/20), Ish Sodhi (2/17) and Tim Southee (1/26) are decent among the bowlers of New Zealand. Daryl Mitchell (49), Kane Williamson (33 not out) and Martin Guptill (20) did their job with the bat. Jasprit Bumrah (2/19) took both the wickets among the Indian bowlers. Ish Sodhi is named as the Man of the Match. With this defeat, New Zealand has great chances to make it to the semifinals India will play with Afghanistan on Wednesday in their next match.
