Flirting seems to be a harmless act indulged by almost all women. Think again. The situation in a workplace is different. It may appear that women who flirt are liked by men, but studies have revealed a contrary report.

Women who flirt are considered to be more manipulative and less trustworthy, according to a study conducted on lifestyle. In another study by US researchers, flirting was rated at the bottom in a list of 10 characteristics ( including attractiveness, honesty and friendlines) in a survey conducted to study traits in women that were considered an asset in business negotiations.

In another case study it was found that women who indulged in flirting at the workplace perceived to be less genuine. However, this study did not apply to men, according to reports. The study concluded that there was a positive as well as a negative outcome to flirting at the bargaining table.

So ladies, be careful the next time you flutter your lashes during a crucial business negotiation.
