Most women are more concerned by wrinkles and fine lines than their body weight. Contrary to the myth that wrinkles are genetic, it's actually more related to your lifestyle.

The main reasons for appearance of wrinkles include aging, sun damage, habitual facial expressions, smoking and lack of moisturisation.

As we grow older the skin's capacity to produce more cells reduces and the inner layer of skin start thining, losing its elasticity. This causes skin to sag and wrinkles appear. Also with age the ability of your skin to stay moisturised decreases, making it dry and scaly.

How to prevent wrinkles

Accept the fact that appearance of wrinkles is a natural process of aging and however hard you try it will be there.

Avoid undue stress because of wrinkles as it will lead to more fine lines. You cannot stop it but only delay the process.

Adopt a lifestyle that will have minimum negative impact on your health and skin.

Use collagen boosting products.

Be careful about the products you use and the ingredients it contains. Prolonged use of products with harmful chemicals will leave your skin with irreparable damage.

Keep your face clean to prevent signs of aging. Adopt a daily beauty regimen that includes deep pore cleaning/detox followed by moisturisation. Start taking care of your skin from a youn age to keep it healthy, young and glowing.

Avoid unhealthy lifestyle

Stay away from smoking, junk food and a stressful life as they increase the chances of appearance of wrinkles. Passive smoking is also harmful to your health and skin.

Eat healthy food

Your skin reflects what you eat. A healthy diet includes whole grains and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. Make sure to include healthy oils like olive oil to prevent damage from free radicals to your skin. Also try to incorporate foods that contain high levels of antioxidants as they help the body to remove free radicals.

Exercise

Adopt any form of exercise to help the blood circulation in your body. You can indulge in walking, dancing aerobics or yoga to keep the oxygen supply going to your skin. Exercise also helps to remove toxics from your body through sweat.
