Just when you need a perfect accompaniment to go with your nice, hot phulkas, but are pressed for time to make an elaborate curry, try making this quick spinach recipe. Loaded with spinach, cream and spices, this deliciously light curry is an absolute tummy-appeaser! Read on to note the recipe of jhatpat paalak.

Ingredients:

3/4 kg spinach-washed, chopped fine

2 tbsp ghee

4 cloves

6 peppercorns

1/4 tsp nutmeg-scraped

1 1/2 tsp rock salt

1 tsp sugar

2 tbsp fresh cream

Instructions:

In a pan, heat some ghee. Toss in cloves, peppercorns, nutmeg followed by the chopped spinach.

Sprinkle some salt and sugar and cook on high until the spinach has softened and all the liquids are dry.

Top it with some fresh cream.

Serve hot.
