Ingredients
1 1/2 litres Full cream milk
25 Almonds, blanched and peeled
20 Cashewnuts, soaked
30 Pistachios, blanched and peeled
3 tbsp Melon seeds (magaz), soaked
3 tbsp Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto), soaked
A few strands of Saffron (kesar)
1 ½ cups Sugar
8-10 Green cardamoms
20-25 Rose petals
1 inch stick Cinnamon
8-10 Black peppercorns
Instructions
Powder the almonds, cashewnuts, pistachios, melon seeds and poppy seeds together with very little milk to a smooth paste.
In a pan, boil the milk. Add saffron and stir well.
As soon as the milk begins to boil, add in the sugar, stir and simmer till the sugar is completely melted.
Grind dried rose petals, cinnamon, green cardamoms, and black peppercorns to a fine powder.
To it, add the milk paste and mix. Simmer for a couple of minutes.
Sprinkle the powdered rose petal masala on top, chill and serve in tall milkshake glasses.
