Someone has rightly said, there is never a wrong time to pamper your sweet tooth. Sweet tooth or not, today we bring you a classic dessert recipe that you would love to make and serve this season - Paneer Orange Cake. An innovative orange cake recipe rolled up with goodness of paneer, this scrummy cake would make up as the star dish of any tea party. So what are you waiting for, roll up your sleeves, crank up the oven and get baking this zesty cake.

Ingredients

200 gm paneer (2 cups approx)

180 gm (1 1/2 cups) maida/ refined flour

3/4 cup fresh orange juice

2 tbsp lemon juice

2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp vanilla

1 cup (240 gm) sugar

1/2 tsp salt

2 tsp orange rind

3 eggs

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C.

In a bowl, blend together paneer, flour, orange juice, baking powder, vanilla essence, sugar and orange rind.

Crack open the eggs, add and whizz again until smooth.

Put the mixture into a greased baking tin, level and bake in a pre-heated oven for 10 minutes at 180 C. Then lower the temperature to 160 C and bake for another 25-30 minutes.

When cool, remove from the tin and transfer on to a serving dish. Spread a layer of oranges on top and serve.
