Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek may appear together on screen again. Director Milan Luthria is reportedly keen to cast the father-son duo in his next project.

Luthria's upcoming project will be a contemporary drama, where he hopes to cast Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan. If evrything goes as planned then shooting for the movie will begin from next year.

Rajat Arora has written the script for the film. Arora, while talking about his next project, said it will be a contemporary drama. But he refused to divulge any information on the star cast.

Milan Luthria is credited for films 'The Dirty Picture' and 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara'. Besides he has previously worked with Amitabh Bachchan in the 2004 film 'Deewaar: Let's Bring Our Heroes Home'.

Previously Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan have appeared in films 'Paa' and 'Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna'.

Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming films include Shamitabh, which will release on February 6, 2015. While Abhishek Bachchan's upcoming films include Happy New Year that is scheduled for release on October 23, 2014.
