It seems there is a movement going on to spread the awareness of opening up on the sexual abuses encountered in the childhood as the popular stars and celebrities are expressing their own incidents of sexual abuses and harassments.

After Somy Ali and Poorna Jagannathan, Kalki Koechlin came forward to reveal the horrific incident happened to her at the age of nine with prior request or condition to the readers not feel sorry for her, but the parents should remove the taboo around the word 'sex or private parts' so that kids can be protected from the predators.

"The reason I spoke out about my sexual abuse is not to get people to feel sorry for me but to give others who have had similar circumstances the confidence to talk about it. I allowed someone to have sex with me at the age of nine, not understanding fully what it meant and my biggest fear after was that my mother would find out. I felt it was my mistake and so I kept it hidden for years. If I had had the confidence or awareness to confide in my parents it would have saved me years of complexes about my own sexuality. It's important that parents remove the taboo around the word sex or private parts so kids can speak openly and be saved from potential abuse." Kalki said to ‘Humans Of Bombay’.

She took the chance to express her view on love and the details of her divorce with director Anurag Kashyap.

The sexual abuse on the girl child is very common thing everywhere in the world in one or other form, but the victims or survivors were compelled by the parents or inner conscious to hide the pathetic stories for protecting the family name, status, and in view of marriage possibilities in future. The parents should encourage the children to speak out the problems and real science (related to puberty, genital parts and self care in special conditions).
