Delhi Liquor Scam: Multiple Raids Across The Country

The Delhi Liquor Scam has created a sensation across the country. The Enforcement Directorate has conducted raids and booked Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in the case. The Enforcement Directorate officials are conducting raids in multiple locations in the country along with Hyderabad regarding the ongoing investigation. The searches are conducted in Hyderabad, Gurugram, Delhi, Mumbai and Chandigarh. The officials are probing the role of money laundering in the fraud. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials booked Manish Sisodia and former Delhi Excise Commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna in the case.

Gopi Krishna belongs to Andhra Pradesh and 14 others are booked in the case. The raids are conducted across the excise offices and their residences apart from dealers and their properties. The investigation is going on about the violations of the liquor policy. Praveen Kumar Rai, the director of MHA asked the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to conduct an investigation about the irregularities in the implementation of the Excise Policy of the government of National Capital Territory of Delhi for the years of 2021-22. There are allegations that Manish Sisodia and his team have been instrumental about the liquor policies. Manish made sensational comments that BJP is behind the investigation as he refused to quit AAP and join BJP. There are talks that the funds collected were diverted to Hyderabad. For now raids are on across the nation.
