Discouraging news for the players participating in World Cup 2015, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to ban wives and girlfriends (WAGS) from cricket's showpiece event soon, which starts in Australia and New Zealand on Valentine's Day.

After several media reports over the alleged rumors of outings and informal spending of India cricket players, BCCI has been decided to announce the bitter news formally soon. It is going to be a gloomy news for the married sport stars, who were allowed to join their wives (not girl friends).

"This rule of not allowing wives and girlfriends was always there in the past. In a big tournament like the World Cup, the cricketers should stay away from distractions," a top BCCI official said to TOI.

However there is no official announcement to stop accompanying the wives and girlfriends during the World Cup series.
