Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday said that he was sad that his stepbrother Daljit Singh Kohli had joined the BJP. At the same time he said that he could not control his siblings' decisions. 

Mr Singh, when asked by mediapersons for his reaction regarding his stepbrother joining the BJP, said he was very sad. He also said that his siblings are adults and he has no control over them.

Daljit Singh Kohli was inducted into the BJP at the Amritsar rally in the presence of BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Manmohan Singh's youngest sibling Daljit is based in Amritsar and is a textile exporter.
